Thanks Ken for the link, and that of course is a question. At certain point I am willing to give the otherside of the debate what they want, if it matters to them. Most proven factual evidence suggest that Mr. Oswald was not a great marksmen, but let us for argument sake say that he practiced and worked at it, until he became better, and maybe even an expert. Would an expert use such poor judgment in picking a weapon? Would Expert not bother with sighting properly his weapon? Would he believe so much in his skill that everything could be left to chance?Let us say that Mr. Oswald did mail order this weapon, under an assumed name that was easy enough to track to him. The only rational reason for him to choose this weapon in my opinion was that he didn't want a good rifle/weapon on purpose. He didn't want to take a chance that it could actually be used to hurt or kill somebody.kenmurray wrote:Kirk wrote:One of the first things that bothered me when I was young about Mr. Oswald being the lone nut was the guns supposedly used. Maybe as was said he was a poor shot or great shot, but being a Marine he would at least know what a good weapon would be. Would he pick a sorry Italian vintage Rifle for his own use, or worst to be a sniper? Whether he planned to shoot JFK, or it was a last minute idea, would he not take his pistol with him, just in case that he couldn't get away? Do you shoot the President, and suddenly decide I best go get my pistol at home?By all accounts Kirk, Oswald was a poor to average shot. The standard weapon for armed services back then was the M-14 rifle. Think about it. Why would Oswald choose a weapon with a misaligned scope with a rusty firepin, a minimum of 2.3 seconds to recoil the weapon over a M-14 which he used in the marines? He must really be a "nut" if he did that. Here is what some of his fellow marines said about his shooting skills:http://karws.gso.uri.edu/JFK/the_critic ... _shot.html

Indeed gents. In addition, how come the Lone Nut club doesn't like to bring up the fact that a Mauser 7.65 was found on the 6th floor of the TSBD by Roger Craig and company. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AqqNKsW ... elatedIt's funny how that story changed all of a sudden.

Yes indeed Andries, that song is one of my favorites by the Beatles. The man who sang the song also died because of a gun himself in 1980. In what I think was another MK-ULTRA assassination job. Ronald Reagan would almost be assassinated the same way just a few months later in the same manner. George Wallace was almost assassinated the same way by Arthur Bremer in 1972. Of course the classic MK-ULTRA example was the RFK assassination with Sirhan being the patsy and causing mayhem, while the real killer got Bobby at close range.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i46RI2twVao

Phil Dragoo wrote:I have recently seen it posited the black pants and shirt were never found. Probably need to send Ruth and Robert Oswald into the Magic Paine Garage one more time.Lee did have a set of interchangeable chins. Marina and Robert Oswald remember vividly how he would sit for hours before a mirror, trying on first his big, square chin, then his pointed one, then his Kirk Douglas-type cleft chin.Lee would sometimes wear his extra-gravity boots, allowing him to lean way out to one side, yet not fall over. So, what at first appears to have been faked, can be readily explained--The newspapers demonstrate the communist dialectic: thesis, antithesis, and that. The shadow under the nose remains the same because it is a witty little homage to Charlie Chaplin, Lee's fake moustache.Another computer simulation is expected out of DARPA (Dartmouth Asset Revision Post Angleton) which will show that Lee had the ability to actually disappear, explaining the final backyard photo showing only the outline of a Lee Oswald-rifle-newspaper object d'art. That was his Cheshire Cat period.Good observation Phil. Wheres a link to the pants and so fourth? Very cool good observation my man. Very bloody FUNNY as well DARPA (Dartmouth Asset Revision Post Angleton) thats genius.
