Hey Bob, no such luck to have a friend named Spock, but I did know an anorexic girl named bones.Bob wrote:Kirk wrote:Howdy Bob and ThanksActually I was back in military school, which was a Five year mission believe it or not. I had a friend tell me once that Confusious was pretty smart.Bob wrote:Hello Kirk (you aren't a Captain are you? ) and welcome. The same goes to Dealey Joe, in case I didn't say the same to him. This is a great forum and it has gotten better with the assortment of new voices over a period of time. Just remember what Confucius once said, "He who asks a question might feel silly for a moment, but he who never asks a question will be silly forever."Now HOW cool is that!!! You didn't have any buddies named Spock or McCoy did you?

Howdy Lofty, I am with you on that. Normally in most conversations on the Assassination I know the most, until I showed up here.Lofty wrote:Hello Kirk and welcome, i am too a newcomer and a relative lightweight, knowledge wise, in comparison to a lot of the posters on this forum, however, my knowledge has expanded massively since i discovered this site.

Chris, Maybe I spelled it that way on purpose, and maybe it was being dyslexic. I bet you know how Einstein came up with the theory of Relativity? A Family Vacation.....ChristophMessner wrote:Kirk wrote: ... You have my word that I will ask some stupid questions from time to time. ... Welcome in the Club! Tom,Thanks, fortunately for all concerned I just went a Military School in San Marcos Texas. My late Father was military, and apparently wanted the same for me, and left the request for me to go to a Military School, but I am not sure, if he actually wanted me to get my fill of it, and not follow in his footsteps. I figure I saved a whole lot lives on all sides by not going in. I send my best to your son. Especially with our current situations.tom jeffers wrote:welcome kirk, lofty, curly, larry, and moe, er i mean joe. this is the foremost spot on the web if you want to get as close to the truth at what happened that sunny day in dallas, kirk, i have a son that just graduated last year at the air force academy? which military academy did you go to? and did you do 5 and out?just remember, you can pick your noses, pick your butts, and pick your friends, (which might be influenced by your first 2 picking decisions) but you can't pick a better website lo learn from.Namaste'

Indeed Kirk. First to all the veterans out there...today is your day...but everyday should be your day. We here in the states are proud of your service. Secondly, just a side note about the academies. One of my good friends from high school went to the Naval Academy, partly because of his football prowess in high school. Red was quite an athlete and he started at QB for Navy for three years and broke a lot of Roger Staubach's records at the academy. Red won two out of three times vs. Army. Red and the Midshipmen also beat a guy by the name of Jim McMahon and BYU at the first ever Holiday Bowl. Red almost beat Notre Dame in South Bend his sophomore year, as a pass went off the finger tips of one of his WRs in the ND end zone as the game ended. I'm sure Red is smiling as Navy has beaten Notre Dame twice in a row now in South Bend.
